The Cuba/Florida Covenant is a partnership between the Florida Conference and the Methodist Church in Cuba. It is a re-affirmation of a relationship that began with the founding of Methodist Christianity in Cuba in 1883. Districts and local congregations partner with each other in Florida and Cuba, exchanging prayer, worship, visits, and mutual support for the promotion of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
 

In 2006, we at Trinity chose to actively enter into this covenant. Our sister church is the San Antonio de Rio Blanco Methodist Church in Cuba. In February 2007, our pastor was privileged to visit these brothers and sisters in Cuba. They welcomed him warmly, giving him and the people of Trinity the key to their hearts and church. In the Fall of 2007, Carey Burley, Denise Stout, and Lee West visited and blessed our brothers and sisters in Cuba, followed by Angie Bechanan in early 2008.

We are now prayerfully seeking to bring Pastor Rene` to Palatka in the first half of 2009! Let us pray, give, and work to that end!
